Definition of Conservation of Energy

Introduction to definition of conservation of energy

Modernization and rapid technology advancements have brought about depletion of natural resources and energy. Energy can be conserved, by using energy efficiently or by reducing the use of energy. Individuals and organizations consuming energy would like to make an effort in conserving it, as it in turn reduces the energy costs and also promotes economic security.

conservation of energy by organizations and industries

Every organization at the end of the day thinks of making profits and by conserving energy which is nothing but reduction in the usage of energy will reap them long term benefits in terms of profits.  All these on a larger scale can reduce the need for new power plants, and also may see a reduction in the energy costs.  Energy conservation also improves the quality of the environment, by reducing emissions which causes increase in the amount of carbon-di-oxide content in the atmosphere.

Inorder to encourage conservation of energy, government has come up with energy labeling on the electrical appliances.  Over usage of energy means depletion of natural resources and fossil fuels. Hence every individual and every organization has to actively take up part in the conservation of energy.  Most of the heating and cooling systems consume more energy and hence these energy star ratings have enabled a user to opt for energy efficient electrical appliances.  Conservation of energy in turn reduces the emission of greenhouse gases which contributes to climate change, and in this way there is an improvement in the environmental quality.

National energy conservation awards are given to industrial units who have made systematic and serious attempts for efficient and effective utilization of energy.  Energy managers are appointed in organizations whose job is to reduce the energy usage and thereby conserving the energy. Energy, by far has become the most expensive and non-renewable resource and there is a dire need for conserving it. Thus we had seen the definition of conservation of energy.
